By clicking on the logo and activating the plug-in, data will be transferred to and stored by the respective social media platform. Since these platforms collect data, especially through cookies, I recommend deleting cookies in your browser before clicking on and activating a social media plug-in.

(2) I have no control over the data collected or the full extent of how it is processed, the purpose of its collection, or the duration of its storage. I also have no information on how the data is deleted by the social media platform provider.

(1) I link to and share YouTube clips on my website. These clips are uploaded and hosted on https://www.youtube.com/. Embedded YouTube videos can be played directly from my website. No data is transferred from you by merely visiting my site, but if you choose to play a YouTube video, data will be transferred. Only when you play a video is data transferred as mentioned in § 2. I have no control over how data is transferred when you visit YouTube via a link or play a YouTube video on my site.

Google reCAPTCHA, provided by Google Inc., is a spam protection service. reCAPTCHA v3 uses adaptive risk analysis in the background to alert me of suspicious traffic while providing a seamless experience for the user. The spam protection replaces previous captcha systems on my website where visitors had to verify themselves to use the site’s services. The use of reCAPTCHA is covered by Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.

§ 8 Contact Forms

I provide visitors to my website with the option to send messages via a contact form. A valid email address is required to use the form. This email address is also used to respond to your message. Personal data provided through the form will be stored for the purpose of responding to the message and any follow-ups. Personal data will always be deleted after the purpose of the processing has been fulfilled.

§ 9 Use of Cloudflare

(1) My website uses a ”DNS service,” a Content Delivery Network provided by Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St. San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. A DNS service is used to deliver data and media files (such as graphics, page content, and scripts) via a network of regionally distributed, internet-connected servers. Cloudflare’s DNS service helps optimize loading times for this website.

(2) The use of Cloudflare is in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1), based on the legitimate interest of ensuring secure and efficient website management, as well as improving the stability and functionality of this website. Cloudflare, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement, which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards.
